This was just your average summer, right? Long days with endless sunshine, playing out in the meadows out back, chasing the bees through the trees... Wrong.

Layla Rose was your average, teenage girl. Living on a small ranch with her dad and best friend, they owned hundreds of long range cattle and two horses to do the annual herding. This all changed when Layla met a horse... A special horse.

When Layla was riding one of the range horses out back in the high meadows, she found a destroyed fence. Frightened the cattle had escaped through this, she rode the range horse outside.... and discovered something magnificent.
A glorious horse, with a coat as rich as a drop of melted gold and shimmering silky white hair, was to be found beyond. However, the horse was terribly injured- what was Layla to do?

With the help of her range horse, she brought the injured stallion back to their house. Her dad did nothing more than agree to help heal the stallion, but as time went on, it was clear they couldn't afford to keep him. He was just too wild.

Layla wouldn't give up, even when her dad and many others suggested putting him down. Through perseverance, and hard work, she began to train this wild beast. Together, she manages to make him one of the best western cattle herders- but he had speed. Determined still, Layla decided to take him to the races.

Will she succeed? Or will this stallion forever be shunned, ignored, and stopped from joining his own destiny?
