As long as time can remember, Human and Furies have been unable to coexist. Times of peace were few and far between. And many never knew what the next day would hold. Years have passed since the last war, but the furies are still confined to the few safe cities. The city of Hideaway was founded by May Lynn O'Hare's Great grandmother and has been handed down to the oldest female of each generation since. The O'Hare family has made it their mission to ensure every furry is safe, happy, and cared for, no matter what.

Their appearances range from simple ear and tail attachments to horrifying, beastly mutations, but that's not important. What is important is the relationship between our main characters as they travel towards their destination, and face many hardships along the way that may or may not relate to this minority. Many controversial views will be addressed as expected with everyday life, so I suggest you proceed with caution. The world has seen many technological advances since the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which was both a blessing and a curse. His home was in a small town that was populated by no more than 30 people, and nearby was a cryogenics testing facility in the form of a vault. The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts.
