Under The Same Sky

Neteyam and I were born under the same sky.
I was born moments after him-close enough to share a soul, far enough to exist only in his shadow.

Growing up, I was known as the quiet one. The one who didn't say much.
That didn't stop me from getting into trouble, but when I did, I learned quickly to stay silent and take the scolding. It was easier that way.

Deep down, I know my parents love me.
They just... forget about me.

I think Neteyam was the child they wanted.
I was the child they couldn't get rid of.

Now the war with the Sky People has begun again.
And maybe-if I prove myself to Mom and Dad-
maybe then I'll be worthy.
