It's supposed to be casual.
A one-on-one Netflix and chill night that's technically just two acquaintances hanging out. Normal right?

if you ignore the way you and Damien flirt at any given chance in group settings.

If you asked anyone, it'd be an unusual pairing for a Friday night. The two of you have only hung out a handful of times, have never actually been alone together, and you don't actually have much in common, different vibes, different interests.

Except for movies.

Yes, movies. Somehow, you managed to snake your way in through a shared love of watching films and forcing others to experience them while you sit there, staring in pure awe and bliss.

So, last week, during a group get together where you weirdly gravitated toward him (like those times you find a pet at a random party) the two of you conversed deeper than you ever had together, and somewhere between drinks and a campy card game, you made a deal: one movie you love that he's never seen, and one he swears changed his brain chemistry.

"Next Friday, I'm free," he blurts out.
"You know what? I am too." You reply.

You exchange numbers and don't think much of it.
You were both practically strangers.
And drunk.

But now it's next Friday.
And Damien Haas is sitting on your couch.
