Magnolia Mayfield does not try to be important in each and every story, but she simply is. She's loud when she wants to be, quiet when it matters, she moves through Hawkins with music in her ears, and a watchful eye always turns toward her little sister.

Older sister to Maxine, Maggie learned early how to stand between people and the things that could hurt them. She carries herself like someone who has seen enough to know better, yet still soft enough to care. She loves fiercely, protects instinctively, and feels everything deeper than she ever admits. There is an ache that follows her through the days, a drag path - something she only knows how to name when the music hits just right.

As strange things begin to happen in Hawkins, Maggie notices before most. Her sister starts spending time with a group of boys, secrets slip through the cracks, and the world around them grows darker in ways that feel impossible to explain.

Maggie does not understand it all yet, but she knows one thing with certainty. Whatever is coming, it will not reach Max without going through her first.
