After the volcano everything changed for the ninja. The green ninja was never revealed and Garmadon had be defeated without a chosen one.

As years pass, a new threat emerges from the shadows - a powerful, masked figure whose abilities feel unsettling, and whose hatred for the ninja seem personal.

Haunted by guilt and the memory of a choice made beneath a volcano, Kai struggles to hold the team together as the lines between hero, and villain blur. Because some wars aren't born from prophecy or destiny - but a misunderstanding.
