Fresh from the blood-soaked streets of The Hill, Jason Todd has finally realized that he will always be a ghost in Gotham-a shadow forever tethered to the Bat. Seeking a fresh start and a city to call his own, Jason rides south to New Angelique, a sprawling, "New Orleans-flavored" metropolis where the humidity is thick and the corruption is thicker.

But New Angelique isn't looking for a savior. The city is currently being torn apart by The Tower, a shadowy organization orchestrating a series of brutal, mind-controlled murders targeting the local police. Armed only with his bike and a briefcase of lead, Jason finds himself caught between a police force that wants him dead and a conspiracy that sees him as the ultimate outlier.

He won't have to bleed alone. Helena Bertinelli, the Huntress, has followed Jason's trail of shell casings from Gotham. As the two black sheep of the Bat-Family collide, they must decide if they are each other's greatest allies-or their own worst instincts.

Welcome to New Angelique. The heat is rising, the law is falling, and the Red Hood is just getting started.

Note to Readers: This story is a non-profit fanfiction continuation of the 2025 DC Comics series Red Hood (Volume 2). It is specifically intended to pick up where the original run by writer Gretchen Felker-Martin and artist Jeff Spokes left off following the title's abrupt cancellation after Issue #1.

While the characters and settings belong to DC Comics, the narrative path taken from Issue #2 onwards is an original creative effort to explore the "lost" solicitations of the series. This project is a tribute to the gritty, noir-inspired vision established in 'The Tower, Part 1: La Pietà.'
