Is everything that we do our fate ? Or is it our choices ? What are bonds ? How deep do they go ?
It may seem like everything that we do is our fate, but it is our choices that determine our fate.

Bonds are soul deep lines between people. They go beyond your current life, renewed in every life, even stronger than it was before.

Light and L are reincarnated, with different names but the same physical looks and lifestyles. Both are in their early twenties and joined the Metropolitan Police Department some years back. Now they are promoted to detective and work under Kana Yagami, Light's twin sister, in the homicide division.

A prominent businessman, Alexander Kennedy, dies, apparently a suicide. The duo visit the crime scene of their very first case and quickly realize that something was off. He had no reason to suicide. Their simple case quickly turns deadly as the Death Note resurfaces and the deepest, darkest secrets of the world's most powerful countries are exposed, forcing Kana to turn to an old associate, Near, for help.

As Near and Kana dig up the past, painful memories surface for all involved.

Will they be able to push aside their past and move on ? Will Light be on the right side of justice this time ? Or will he support the new user of the Death Note ? Who is the new owner of the deathnote ? What are their motives ? Will they get drunk on its power like Kira before them? Was Light's purge as Kira truly beneficial ?

I do not own Death Note or any characters. I only own my OC, Kana Yagami and the plot. Also, the deaths of JFK, RFK and Saoirse Kennedy Hill have been fictionalized in this story.
