"Perfect World Somewhere" is now a Featured Sci Fi novel! Thank you to the Wattpad team and all of you fantastic readers and friends who have made my millennium ;) I hope this story inspires and uplifts others as much as it has me.
***
Lily Fairpoole is a girl of many talents. Gifted with a brilliant mind and a beautiful singing voice, she excels at an early age, working as her father's apprentice in their robotic maintenance shop. Her loving family and complacent life in the rural town of Plumgrove are sheltered from the outside world, though the War with the Pruessian Empire has raged across Earth for two generations.

Even the most peaceful havens fall on Black Sky Day, as the robotic armies of the Kaezer devastate the homeworld. Faced with overwhelming destruction, Lily and her loved ones begin a journey driven by sacrifice, and the will to remain free.

Lily's struggle takes her to the strongholds of the resistance, the dreaded ration camps of the enemy, the glittering and powerful off-world colonies, and finally to the Ruby lift--the swanky and yet often chaotic space elevator operated by the Royal Crown Orbital Plaza and Resort.

Chromed and streamlined rocketships, heroic robots, brave revolutionaries, flappers, and plenty of jazz! A blend of early twentieth century eras and possible futures, as well as a coming-of-age story, this is the first complete novel in my retrofuturistic "Family of Earth" series. This novel is in revision status, so please feel free to comment and leave any feedback.

Note: This story contains violence and dark situations, in an apocalyptic setting.

Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards. Over 2,000 years have passed on since the nuclear war in [Redacted]. Humanity has managed to slowly rebuild by partially repeating history. Kingdoms and Empires have been brought back into society The year is now [NW 40XX] 30 years ago within this time period there was a world war between humanity and an anthropomorphic insectoid species known as the Mōtharians (Mo-thair-re-ans). After excessive losses the Lepidopteran Confederacy declared to surrender to ensure no more lives could be taken between both sides, but humanity had other plans. Within the North Eastern region of Europe an Empire known as The United Imperial Settlements of Europe (U.I.S.E.) had seen there is merit to this victory for the human race. Within the regions of Spain, Italy, Greece, and the Northern African regions a democratic country known as The S.E.N.A. Republic (Southern European and North African) or SENAR for short shares the same hatred for the Mōtharian race but instead of enslavement the majority of the people demand for them to be butchered. Left and Right Mōtharian homes were being pillaged. Men, women, and children were being taken away to unknown territories. Tribes were being torn apart, the future life for the Mōtharian race was to live in endless chaos or slavery... Mōtharians though they look similar to humans are looked down upon. Some are abused, racially stereotyped, attacked in public, or killed without any reason and even if they're population can grow quicker than ours people still take it for granted. Some would think it would be crazy if a human ever loved a Mōtharian after the war... Well that will definitely be the change of a life time, won't it? [I noticed the SCP story is leaning more into action adventure and not a whole lot of lemons, so to those who want a cozy novel with funny shenanigans and *ahem* "adult content" in a harem-- here you go! 😊]

Nina is captured by parbeing man. He plans to turn her into his pet. He knows she won't go down without a fight, but he's not prepared for how much 'fight' she has packed in her small body. His new pet leaks into every area of his life, changing things in ways he could never have imagined. Parbeings are the new and improved apex predators of Earth. Created from gene editing, they are the perfect humans, so perfect that they are no longer even considered human. *** Content Warning: The protagonist of this story is a victim of abuse. I do not condone the actions of the antagonist *** Chapter 1 extract: "Hey Alex. Get over here. I've got something for you," he calls into his collar radio. I reach the end of the alley and turn to face my foe once again, but he remains where he is, still blocking my path but not approaching either. New plan: when he gets close, duck under his arms and make a run for it. Now I just have to wait. Before a minute has even passed, another armoured soldier appears and joins the first. This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Who do they think they are, talking about me like I'm some kind of wild animal? "Get the fuck away from me! You freaks!" I screech. The first soldier just flashes an evil grin. They don't budge. "Are you just going to let her talk to you like that?" he goads Alex. (Complete. 70k words.)
