ASYLUM (B×B)

Luke ran.
Bare feet slapped floor, each step sending pain screaming up his legs, but he didn't stop. The corridor stretched endlessly, alarms blaring so loudly they felt like they were drilling straight into his skull. Everywhere he turned guards.

"Caught him!"

The shout ripped

Luke's breath broke into sobs. He was naked, His body trembled, bruises blooming across his skin His legs barely held him anymore.

Patients screamed from locked rooms as he passed, some laughing, some crying, some pounding on doors. The entire asylum was awake now

He saw a door at the end of the hall.

Luke stumbled forward, nearly collapsing, and grabbed the handle with shaking hands. He yanked once. Twice. Again. Locked.

"No... no, please..."

Footsteps stopped behind him.

Luke turned.
Three guards stood there.

Luke backed away until his spine hit the locked door. Before he could scream, before he could beg, rough hands seized him. He fought weakly, nails scraping uselessly. They dragged him away .

Luke was strapped down before he fully understood where he was. Leather restraints bit into his wrists and ankles, pinning him to a cold metal chair. Thick wires and thin tubes were attached to his chest, arms, neck everywhere. The machine beside him hummed softly

He shook uncontrollably.

"I didn't kill anyone," Luke sobbed, tears streaming down his face. "I swear... please... I promise... please don't do this..."

A guard stepped forward and flipped a switch.
The machine roared to life.
Electricity tore through Luke's body . His back arched violently against the restraints as a scream ripped from his throat.

The asylum swallowed his screams whole.
