The year is 2093, 20 years after a nuclear apocalypse struck Earth. OL-MCD-8144, otherwise known as Orion, an old droid built in the year 2068 meets a 32 year old alcoholic named Felix. Orion has no memory of the apocalypse or what occurred before, Felix however, remembers it all vividly. The way his parent's smiled reassuringly as they shoved him and his sister, Abby, into a nuclear bunker, sacrificing themselves to save their children's lives. He remembers seeing his parents decaying corpses once the survivors were released from the bunkers in 2085. Felix and Orion are polar opposites in most ways. Felix is a selfish man with little to no regard for anyone or anything's wellbeing. And Orion is a Droid who was reprogrammed to be a caring bodyguard/civilian droid. Despite this, Felix finds himself slowly growing attached to Orion, and decides to assist him in figuring out what his objective was and where he was created. Will the two ever find Orion's creator? Will Felix's sister show up? Will new unlikely friendships be forged? You'll have to read to find out! (Orion was a character originally created by my friend, who has given me full permission to use him in my book.) Side notes: This story is something I've been working on for a few years now. It's been through many prototype stages as I explored different writing styles, perspectives and ideas. But I think I've finally landed on something I'm ready to see through to the end. I will release chapters as and when they are done and I really, really hope you enjoy reading it! I might even try get it published or self publish it when it's completed.

She wasn't just a child, She was a miracle. Born after generations of prayers and silent yearning, Tejo arrived like the dawn after a long night in the mighty Suryavanshi dynasty. A family built on strength, pride, love and tradition found its heart softened by a pair of tiny hands and eyes that held galaxies. She was their light, their laughter, their moon wrapped in stardust. Even the sternest of men melted before her innocent smile, their proud heads bowed to the little girl who unknowingly ruled them all. But fate, ever watching, never plays fair. One night everything changed. One moment, giggles, blessings and love filled the air. The next, silence. A cruel twist no one saw coming, no one could stop. The light vanished. Just like that. Gone. No warning. No goodbye. Just a void so deep it swallowed the entire family. The Suryavanshis, once unshaken and mighty, crumbled under the weight of their grief. Her absence became a shadow that haunted every sunrise, her name a whisper too sacred to speak aloud. Years went by. Time moved forward, but hearts stayed frozen in the moment she left. And then... the winds shifted again. Tejo returned, no longer the pampered princess she once was. At a young age, she faced countless emotional hardships, far away from the warmth of her family one she didn't even know existed. Life tested her in ways she could never have imagined. But beneath the surface of her silent pain, she found strength. Hiding her emotional wounds behind a calm exterior, she grew resilient not just for herself, but for the unbreakable bond she formed along the way. That bond became her anchor, her reason to keep moving forward. This is the story of Tejo, a girl destined to shine, who found her light even in the darkest of times. Take a deeper look into her journey, one of pain, strength, family and love.......✍️🏻❤
