2972. In the streets of the City of Foam, heat is a second skin.

It has been a long time now since the "Thoughts" settled among us. These tiny entities, like white dandelions, shimmer above the concrete and bring a touch of poetry to a society where appearances, money, and reality television have taken full control.

Humanity eventually grew tired of them, living alongside them without paying any more attention. They say the Thoughts hold secrets, that they are fragments of another world, or even the sign of an approaching end. They say so many things...

But reality looks nothing like any legend. I make my living as a courier in this city that never sleeps, watching these lights drift between the buildings. I thought I knew them. I was wrong.
