Jean Kirstein is just passing through, here on a study abroad program, trying to balance art history, literature and a life that always seems just out of reach.
Meeting by accident, ordinary afternoons filled with language lessons, tours of the local towns and stolen conversations begin to weave them together. But summers end, and reality awaits in Paradis, where college, routine, and the life they've always known threaten to pull them apart.
