Reality and Expectations?

Expectations are essentially "mental models" or predictions the brain creates to manage the uncertainty of the future. People always have expectations. While expectations are normal, it could go out of hand. Expectations could blind one's perspective that could lead to bad outcomes.

Such expectations can create a "blind spot" through a psychological phenomenon known as Confirmation Bias. This occurs when your brain stops seeking objective truth and instead begins to filter the world to match your internal predictions.
