Evan "Buck" Buckley is used to saving lives, but he never thought he'd need someone to save him from the man he loves. Summary: For months, Buck believed he had finally found stability with Tommy. But slowly, the affection turned into control, and the praise into isolation. What started as subtle remarks about his "overbearing" found family at the 118 has evolved into a wall of silence between Buck and the people who know him best. To the world, Buck is just becoming more "private." To his family, he is slipping through their fingers. Trapped in a cycle of manipulation and fear, Buck has learned to hide the bruises and justify the outbursts. However, when a heated argument escalates to a breaking point, the facade finally shatters. Faced with the devastating reality of his situation, Buck must find the strength to reach out for the help he's been trained to give others-before the fire at home consumes him entirely.
