Eleven years prior to the Contestando banquet, Avaline Cunnigham (Michelle), a young detective, is caught in the web of an international conspiracy. Her liaison? Gale Everknight (Gotchabell), an undead antique broker. Though they share a troubled past, they need to put aside their differences in order to catch the perpetrators, who are as elusive as the heads of the infamous Black Market. And yet, this task turns into a challenge when their characters collide and even worse, when they finally unearth the feelings they buried, alongside the hatchet, years ago.
