For over a hundred years, the city of Utashinai had a guardian they didn't even know existed.

Yumeko-known to the underworld as the Dream Devil-lived a life of quiet, recycled peace. She spent a century drifting through the subconscious of others, eating away the nightmares of a small Japanese city and replacing them with the scent of flowers and the warmth of a good night's sleep. She was innocent, childish, and perhaps the only Devil in existence who truly loved the humans she was meant to terrify.

But in the world of Chainsaw Man, peace is an illusion that eventually shatters.

After a century in a small Japanese city, the Dream Devil is forced into the life of Public Safety, and it's there she meets her found family.

Suddenly, Yumeko's world isn't just naps and dreams. It's the cold, stoic gaze of Aki Hayakawa, the chaotic energy of Denji, and the boisterous ego of Power. It's a world where her "Information Processor" mind is overwhelmed by the stench of grief and the loud, clashing desires of the broken people around her.

As the "innocence" of Division 4, Yumeko tries to do what she does best: fix everything with a hug and turn every nightmare into a daydream. But when the bullets start flying and the people she loves begin to fade like blue mist, she realizes that some night
