Mar Jawaan [BORN JUST TO DIE]
The lane was a ghost town, its silence shattered by an engine's scream. A car tore through at full throttle, blowing through red lights as if they didn't exist. To any onlooker, the driver was possessed-driven by a manic desperation bordering on insanity.
"Jaana, stop!" Iraansh's voice roared from the trailing vehicle, a command lost to the wind. "Please, stop! We'll get justice for all of them... please!"
White-knuckled and blurred by tears, Iraansh pushed to the limit. He had to stop her-to stop the woman who had lost her mind to the darkness.
A cold, jagged laugh crackled over the comms. "Justice? Huh." The Women's voice was devoid of warmth. "I never wait for anything, Iraansh. You called me insane? Fine. I am. Stop following me, or I swear, you'll be the next name on my list."
Blood trickled from her nose, staining her lip. Her hands were slick with it, coating the wheel in a macabre sheen. She was broken, bleeding, and dying-but she had made her choice.
"No! Please, wait!" Iraansh's voice cracked. "Tomorrow is our wedding. Just please..."
Suddenly, the roar died. Iraansh slammed on the brakes, skidding to a bone-jarring halt. Smoke swirled, and for one heartbeat, the world held its breath.
Then came the sound that shattered everything.
THUAAAAA-CRASH!
Twisting metal and exploding glass screamed through the silence. Iraansh watched, paralyzed, as the taillights he'd been chasing vanished into a cloud of wreckage and dust.
He stumbled out of the car, knees hitting the cold asphalt. The scent of gasoline and blood filled the air.
"No..." he choked out.
Then, his lungs burst in a guttural, soul-shattering roar that tore the night apart:
"RUHANIKAAAAAAA!"
