Everyone knows that vampires are cold, emotionless monsters - incapable of showing restraint or mercy.

At least that's what they teach at the Slayers Guild.

However, after an expedition to the ruins of Kerwin's Keep goes horribly wrong, Talia Ashford must do the one thing all the textbooks warn against - trust a starving vampire.

Shrike has spent three centuries in chains, buried alive in darkness. He should be feral. Mindless. A creature driven only by bloodlust. Instead, he makes choices that defy everything Talia knows about his kind - and every choice pulls them deeper into a bond neither can afford.

This is a sneak peak of the first few chapters for my upcoming original novel. Please be patient, as it will take a while to finish. I'd rather have a full novel to present to you than cope with the stress of weekly updates like I did with my Baldur's Gate Fanfic.

(I intend for this novel to initially read like your typical toxic teen tomance... but you will find later on it is more of a cautionary tale 😉)
