Mack is a hardened long-haul trucker whose life derails after cancer takes his wife, Stella, a devout Catholic whose final wish binds him to weekly meetings with Father Tom, the priest who officiates her funeral. A Norse pagan with deep resentment toward the Church, Mack is forced off the road and into a life he doesn't know how to live without a truck beneath him. As grief strips away his defenses, he confronts the truth he's been running from for years: alcoholism and a self-destructive spiral he's ill-equipped to face alone. Failing repeatedly to outrun his demons, Mack begins a painful journey through loss, faith, and self-reckoning, aided at times by his fellow trucker and closest friend Eddie when Father Tom cannot reach him. This is a raw story of overcoming adversity, healing from addiction, and the long, reluctant road home to Christ.
