
The days of the week have their own assigned jobs. Sundays are branded the revival day. The day for fellowship or hangover recovery from a gruesome weekend. Mondays are the dreaded inception days because reality slips back in. Tuesdays have no special meaning other than being the hollow void that occupies space. Wednesdays are the suspenseful hump days, the middle of the week, and it's almost time to relax, party, or whatever people do to release the stress of Mondays. Fridays claim the role of weekend eve, as people streak out of their professions or school to celebrate freedom from accountability. Saturdays reveals its part of the week as a freefall into oblivion as whims surrender to the world, and reality is a figment of a day's past. Thursday, however. Thursdays live in limbo. It's antsy because you're already past the halfway point, but it's not quite yet Friday or the weekend.
