A sequel to 'Americana'

Some loves become legend. Some legacies become wounds.

Stella Grace Rogers was born beside a legend-but legends were never what broke her.

Love was.

The world knew her as Americana: Steve Rogers' twin sister, original Avenger, the woman with the Liberty Ring and blood on her hands enough to make history remember her.

But history never learned the truth. It never learned how much of Stella was built around two boys from Brooklyn- one born with her, one who chose her-and how both of them left scars that no war ever could.

Because Bucky Barnes came back. Then vanished. Then came back again.

And after seventy lost years, five more stolen in ash and silence should have been enough to kill whatever was left of them. It wasn't. Some loves are too stubborn to die. Some loves crawl out of wreckage with their teeth bared. Some loves look like Bucky relearning Stella's laugh, Stella relearning the shape of his hands, and both of them trying to build a life in the aftermath of every version of the world ending.

But healing has never been simple for the people history won't stop touching.

Steve's shield still casts a shadow.

The Avengers are becoming something new, something she doesn't know how to forgive.

Sam Wilson is her partner now, steady where she is fire, and together they protect a legacy that no longer feels clean in their hands.

And Bucky sees all of it. He sees the way Stella sneers at the shield instead of admitting it hurts. The way she acts like Steve's name means nothing, when really it means too much.

But Bucky Barnes has always known the truest thing about Stella Rogers: she can survive anything except being asked not to feel.

And when the past rises again, Stella will have to choose what to protect-the anger that kept her alive, or the love that kept her his.

Because the world may belong to Captain America.
