An unexpected disease from under the earth arises, plaguing the world in forever darkness and spawning horrifying, mutated monsters along with it, leaving the survival of mankind at risk. To save them from another near-extinction event, Cameron and his friends, along with new allies, try to work with those around them to solve this and take action. But not everyone can be trusted, and to make matters worse, Cameron soon finds himself right at the heart of the sickening virus, making the trustworthiness of those around him the least of his worries. With little knowledge of the unfamiliar terrain, little chance of survival, and little time before the world begins to crumble within the eternal night, Cameron must find all of his strength and confront his fears in order to have any chance at saving the world.
