They say love is simple. Pero sa totoo lang, hindi. Love is unpredictable. Messy. Sometimes it shows up when you're least ready, and sometimes it stays even when you're trying your hardest to move on. Some hearts can't let go. Some pretend they already did. Some wait, kahit hindi nila alam kung para kanino. At Northvale University, one semester is enough to turn everything upside down. Henry Santos is a basketball varsity player with a girlfriend and a future already mapped out, until everything starts to fall apart. Alexander Dela Cruz is a scholar who still carries the weight of a past love he never fully healed from. They meet by chance, grow closer through shared silences and late-night talks, and slowly discover that some connections are impossible to ignore. Around them, other stories unfold. Jerome and Julian navigate a sweet, quiet kind of love. Sandra and Noel stumble into an unexpected slow burn. Mari and Lance try to hold steady as everyone else spirals. Friendships will be tested. Old wounds will resurface. Choices will be made that change everything. Set against cozy cafés, late-night convenience stores, crowded hallways, and echoing gymnasiums, this is a story about first chances, second chances, and the courage it takes to love again. This is where it all begins. The madness of love.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
