Silence was not strange to him.
He knew it as he knew the road that the blind cannot see, yet still reaches its destination.
He sat behind the wheel, watching the city move past him, like an old chaotic film.
People talk a lot when they fear emptiness, and he had learned early that emptiness is more honest than noise, when he befriended his own self, his mind, his thoughts.
In the back seat, words flowed endlessly, waiting for no answer.
They spoke as if trying to anchor the world in place, fearing that if they fell silent, everything would suddenly collapse.
They did not know that silence sometimes does not mean absence-
