"Move aside, Jo. I must complete my mission." Cherry says through her teeth, adjusting her grip on the dagger in her hand. Jo doesn't move, his body completely covering Suki. Cherry wouldn't be able to get to her mark without going through the boy.
"No, you'll have to kill me if you want to get to her." He says, his voice calm like he wasn't offering up his own life. Cherry scowls, meeting the boy's gaze. She only finds calm there, like his life wasn't actively being threatened.
"If that's how it's going to be, then I'll just kill you both.."
