Bucky feels the solid line of her spine against his.
Familiar. Different. Dangerous.
"You could've called," he says under his breath.
A guard advances.
She cracks her knuckles lightly, once. Twice. Even.
"And miss this- timing's perfect," she replies.
Another wave surges forward.
Bucky rolls his shoulder, metal glinting beneath torn fabric.
"I had it handled."
A faint smile curves at her lips. "You always do."
The first guard lunges-
And the hallway descends into violence-
