Draco had read a muggle series once. His mother had taken them to the black ancestry home to handle the details of the heirship since he was old enough, and he had snuck through the place like a rat, and had found the books in the room of Regulus Black. He took them, hid them from his parents, and had read the whole series. He had fully enjoyed it, but had not realized it was a muggle series until his father had noticed him reading it one day and lost his temper. This reminds him of that, a bit. It was supremely stupid for him to walk through a cabinet when he was fairly sure it was not properly fixed, but in a fit of suicidal ideation he did so (after all he had nothing to lose considering how his progress was going), and now he was stuck in some weird alternate reality, because there was no way he managed to travel in time this far back and was supposed to somehow explain his existence, and still be stuck going to school, surely not....Right?

Harry and Draco get sent back in time to their fourth year, except this time they know what they didn't know before, and now their only confidants are each other. With the realisation that their new knowledge allows them to alter the original timeline, who knows how many lives can be saved? There are so many changes to be made, but perhaps, their own developing feelings will be the biggest change of them all. (Completed) Previously published on Ao3
