As a suitcase rattles down the sidewalk I start to relax. The smokey scent of night time fills my lungs and I exhale slowly. I rest my head on my hands.

I'm always up late. It helps me sort out my thoughts, and I feel calm.

Usually though, I don't have anyone to talk to. So when a window on the other side of the street opens, and I suddenly I gain a companion, it's hard to adjust at first. As I get to know this person better, nights seem to get shorter and I long for a glance in daytime.
