Aislinn Blake, age fifteen, has been able to fly for as long as she can remember. She possesses the wings of a peregrine falcon, fourteen feet across, that allow her to slice through the air at up to two hundred miles per hour. For Aislinn, flying is life's greatest joy... until it turns into a nightmare. The arrival of a mysterious girl marks a turning point in Aislinn's life, and suddenly she must run from everything she has ever known to escape those who want her dead.

A cataclysmic chain of events has been set in motion in The Winged, the epic first chapter of The Champions series.

Kalia's POV : Freedom ain't real. It's just a pretty lie people tell themselves to sleep better at night. Me? I've never been free. Not when I was born into a life where people used me like a tool. Not when I thought I escaped, only to get dragged back in. And sure as hell not now, trapped in a marriage I never wanted with a man who loves me like an addiction-obsessive, toxic, suffocating. Easton swears I belong to him. Calls me his, like I'm a possession, not a person. But I was never meant to be owned. Not by him. Not by anyone. And yet... I'm craving the one person I can't have. The one man I shouldn't want. Jay Kim. My husband's best friend. The only person who looks at me like I'm more than a pawn in someone else's game. The only man who's ever made me feel safe. But love in this world? It don't come without consequences. And choosing Jay? That'd be the kind of mistake that gets people killed. Jay's POV: I never wanted this empire. It was my uncle's before me-a kingdom built on blood, corruption, and greed. But when he fell, I had two choices: take control or let worse men have it. So I took it. And now? I'm doing what he never could. I'm fixing the mess he left behind. Cleaning up the dirt while keeping the wolves from tearing it apart. But then she came back. Kalia Gomez. The only woman who's ever made me want something outside of this life. The one I can't have-because she belongs to someone else. Not just anyone, either. Easton. My friend. My brother in arms. I should walk away. Should forget about the way she looks at me when no one's watching. Should ignore the way my pulse fucking riots every time she's close. But it's too late for that. Because I might be trying to clean up this empire... But for Kalia? I'd burn it all down.

"They took my sister. Now I'm taking her back." Seventeen years ago, humans started developing supernatural abilities. Comic books came true as the first person flew, created fire, mind-read. The world entered a new age where people who could do special things were revered and admired. That all changed when one man lost control of his power and unleashed a huge explosion in a crowded shopping centre, killing over a thousand others. A series of fights involving superhumans broke out, resulting in the destruction of multiple cities and hundreds upon hundreds of further lives lost. The government began hunting down those extraordinary people with the assistance of a specialised unit: trained in recognising different abilities. Suddenly powers became something scary, uncontrollable and dangerous, that nobody wanted to own up to having. Seventeen years after the Explosion, Amelie Rose Carmichael is the daughter of the man who is in charge of hunting down and imprisoning these people. She enjoys a comfortable life, protected from any threats against her. But when Amelie develops an ability without warning, she must try to keep it hidden from her family, her friends, and above all her father. Can she keep a secret? Will she use her powers to help the rebel organisation that has approached her? And what secrets are the people around her hiding? When life is against her, how will she cope with her new friends, allies, and her soulmate? Will she be able to let them in? Or will she forever keep to herself? Liam Grayson. Alpha of the White Shadow pack. His life hasn't been easy. Second in line, he wasn't likely to become Alpha. That changed when his brother died the same night Kiara's pack was slaughtered. 3 years later when he finally meets Kiara, he is surprised to find they're mates. What's more odd, is their connection. One that can only truly be formed if they perhaps grew up together, but that's impossible. Liam and Kiara have never met. He knows this to be true. What happens when the past comes back to haunt them both? New enemies will be revealed that threaten them both. Will they be strong enough to fight and live? ***** Black wolves are the strongest of any wolf; they are faster than any wolf; they have heightened senses beyond compare. Said to be a myth, black wolves are feared among others due to the lack of information about them. And what people don't understand, they tend to destroy. **#26 in blackwolf **#18 in fastpaced

Girl who Speaks to Birds

60 parts Complete

I never expected this to happen. But it did. Who knew that rescuing a broken winged canary would lead to me being able to transform? It would seem like a blessing to most, and in a way, it is. Except for the fact that I'm kinda, sorta... On the run. Sometimes, people refer to me as the girl who speaks to birds. And I guess I am. ***Highest Ranking: #95 (8-28-15)*** I wrote this when I was 11 - 12, it definitely has its flaws, I am aware of them. All the same, people enjoy this book, so I'm keeping it up. Keep on reading, friends.
