You'd think Riley Miller had an easy life by the image she put off. But really it was filled with pain and trouble. Parents? Not exactly the best topic to bring up around this girl. Boyfriends? Same deal. Riley's secrets are unknown. She's not an open person at all. Kids at school call her the creepy, quiet one. But really, she's the most trouble girl in a little town called Reighmound. Really the only person who knows her more than anyone is her good friend Nate Maloley. These two live thousands of miles apart. But thanks for their families knowing each other, Nate and Riley were able to meet. After all the years of being abused and finally being done dealing with everything in her life, she decided to pack her bags and leave. Right to Omaha. She flees to Nate's, asking for help from him and his parents. Nate helps her. Takes her in, keeps her safe. She starts a new life in Omaha. Later Nate's parents enroll her into Westside High, four months into the school year, three weeks before Christmas. At school, her and Nate pretend to not know each other as they believe it'll keep Riley be more safe as some drama from her old town starts to rise and as her old bosses start to threaten her. Sam Wilkinson then meets Riley as she's put into all of his classes. He grows a liking to her and invites her in on all the groups activities. Jack and Jack find her very suspicious and are skeptical of her. When the Jacks and Sammy make a surprise visit to Nate, they get even more suspicious when Riley fails to stay hidden. It doesn't take long for Sammy to make a move on Riley. And when he does he's getting himself into something more than he expected. Has moving to Omaha been enough for her? Or is she in even more danger than before? The main question... do the boys succeed in keeping Riley safe?
