Prologue Obito Uchiha didn't believe in fate. He believed in deadlines, late-night study sessions, and whatever coffee kept him awake long enough to finish his assignments. Dating apps were just another distraction-something Rin insisted on, something he downloaded without expectation. That was where he met K. Their conversations were easy, unforced. K didn't talk much, but when he did, it felt like he was choosing his words carefully. Obito liked that. He liked how messages turned into habits, how mornings began with short greetings and nights ended with quiet goodbyes. They never exchanged real names. Just O and K. What Obito didn't know was that K worked at a café near his apartment. And what Kakashi didn't know was that the college student who sometimes lingered outside with his friends was the same person slowly finding his way into his thoughts. Every day, Kakashi poured coffee for strangers. Every night, he waited for a message from someone he hadn't met yet. Rin's invitation came without warning-drinks at her favourite café, just to unwind. Obito agreed, unaware that he was about to step into the space where warm cups were served, where hands brushed over counters, where fate waited patiently behind an espresso machine. They didn't meet that day. But they came close. One cup closer.

Akira had learned long ago that dreams were a pointless thing and wishful thinking a lost cause. The goal of her life had been determined for her by others. To serve and to obey. Long ago she'd given up on the idea of freedom, of ever having the power over herself to be and do whatever she wanted. But then, by some miracle, a chance appeared to her. A surprise heist proved just the distraction she needed. All she intended to do was escape. Not get roped in on a dangerous quest that could become the adventure of a lifetime. But perhaps that was what she needed. Maybe on a ship with a ragtag group of dreamers was exactly where she was meant to end up. Because what else are you to do when your own dream becomes to actually find one? ----- [One Piece (Netflix) - Season 1+] [Canon character (mystery) / OC] [S2 started: 13/03/26] [S1 finished: 02/11/23]
