On a planet in a far away time and place, life under The Empress chugs along with uncaring efficiency. One girl has been living in the sterile kinderblocs of the Empire her entire life. The rules and expectations of The Empress long etched into her heart and soul.
Obedience earns peace.
Anything less, earns dire punishments. Life in the kinderbloc is not for the weak, intentionally. The Empire has constant need for new, strong, obedient labourers to keep the infrastructure of The Empire grinding forward. She is well aware of the rules and that her time in the kinderbloc is finally drawing to a close. Her biggest dream is to be assigned a technical work duty, relieve her worker number and finally have a chance to grow her hair long enough to fall down her back.
Her simple dream will remain out of reach. As she approaches adulthood she learns that she has been selected for a special duty to serve The Empress. She is to become a bride for a leader on a distant colony planet.
Will she be able to find happiness in her new life, or will she be ground to dust under the never ending pressure to serve The Empress with subservient devotion.
