I shoved him back against the couch, momentarily catching him off guard. His eyes drifted down to my lips and I knew that without his processors, he couldn't hear me but that didn't stop me from muttering, "shit."

Shit because that selfish asshole persona he typically wore was crumbling in real time; shit because I was finally getting a real look at who he was behind that badge he wore like armor; shit because the more glimpses I got, the more I was starting to like what I was seeing.

And that realization was more terrifying than anything else.
