Kate Damon wasn't expecting anything to come out of her move to Australia. She would continue to be the outcast in school with no friends, the straight A student and write stories to herself. She is all wrong when her perky neighbor, Avery introduces Kate to Jamie and Luke. Luke decides to adventure and explore the mysterious island they call Mako. After a strange night there, the fairy tales that Kate was told to as a kid about mermaids come true and she is one of them.
