When Athena was small, something happened that changed her life at the age of six.
She ends up in foster homes from one to the other, never had much time in each but then ends up in a home that seems better from all the rest.
At the age of 16, almost 17, she thinks that this one home will be different from the rest. She is very right about that. 
What she finds out is something other than a dream come true, it's actually just utter horror...
What really happened when she was 6 and what exactly happened in this house? Why does Lizzy warn her not to move in with the new foster mother..?
