A dangerous, nearly impossible plan: to infiltrate Emberkeep-the royal dragon academy where the next generation of riders is forged-and dismantle the brutal regime from the inside.

But the deeper Elanna is drawn into the academy's web of power, the more complicated her mission becomes. Secrets are uncovered. Friendships are tested. And as if rebellion, dragons, and political intrigue weren't enough, it turns out some of the academy's riders look infuriatingly good in uniform.

Toppling the Crown was the plan.

Surviving the consequences may be another matter entirely.
