set in London, Victorian era.
Evander Crowe, or Mr. Crowe, is a well-dressed man in his 20s who serves as the queen's right-hand killer. With vast knowledge of monsters, he knows their weak points and is one of the finest strategists in the queen's Concord of Beasts, also known as the Hidden Swords. Though considered the best beast hunter in her arsenal, Evander often defies the queen, choosing to save beasts rather than kill them, and granting them the freedom they deserve.
Evander despises most human life, holding beasts in higher regard and avoiding humans whenever possible. His disdain is clear, and he would much rather work alongside the creatures of his world than be the queen's lapdog. During his journey, he encounters many beings, including Vivian, a fae lover who develops a deep desire for him.
Evander has the suave elegance of a court noble; while switching to a personality that's a mix between Edward Elric from FMA and Katsuki Bakugou from MHA. Enjoy that.
The story blends moments of comic relief with serious, intense scenes, combining the feel of a monster hunter like Van Helsing with the heart of a compassionate beast tamer. Drawing on monsters from Dungeons & Dragons, it offers a chance to explore and learn about these creatures while raising awareness of lesser-known lore. (I am not a expert on DND monsters. This is based off of my own research and a great way for me to study the depths of what DND monsters are capable of.)
