Ka'vani is the eldest daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri-the firstborn of the Sully children, raised beneath the weight of expectation. Groomed for leadership, she was meant to inherit the title of Olo'eykte, but the burden never felt like hers to carry. So she gave it to Neteyam, who accepted the future role of Olo'eyktan with pride and certainty.
Ao'nung, the Metkayina prince and eldest son of Tonowari and Ronal, is everything Ka'vani is not-and far too much of what she can't ignore. Raised as the future leader of the reef, Ao'nung wears his birthright like armor: arrogant, sharp-tongued, proud to a fault, and quick to wield his status like a spear. But when Ka'vani encounters Ao'nung-the stubborn, hard-headed reef prince-what begins as tension and rivalry soon becomes something far more dangerous. Drawn together by defiance, duty, and the pull of the sea itself, they find themselves caught between loyalty to their people and a connection that threatens to change the course of both their futures forever.

Go read the next book, I transferred some of the Fire and Ash chapters from this book into that one‼️ Being the eldest daughter of Toruk Macto, everyone expects highly of you. However, maybe they should put more faith into your twin, Neteyam. I mean he is always the one to take the blame for you and your little brother. Growing up in the forest and being with the wildlife was something you never wanted to go away. However, hearing one conversation between your parents would change that. Moving to a new clan that was surrounded by water when you are afraid of it could possibly be one of the worst things that would happen to you. If you thought that traveling to a different colony surrounded by the one thing you're afraid of would be difficult enough, than think again. One specific Na'vi makes your time spent in the Metkayina village insufferable. Follow the story of Lily as she travels from her home to the reef.
