Freya was always the backup best friend. She was never anyone's first choice. Everyone had their duos while freya was just the side character, the one nobody paid attention to except when they needed her.
Malachi is everyone's favorite guy, always outshining everyone, but still humble. He noticed things that others in the group didn't. How freya walked behind them or how she made sure she didn't take up to much space. He hated that and he wanted to change that to the best of his abilities.
