Wesley finds himself attracted to the same type of girls. The girls who need saving. At the age of 17, he's forced to take care of his seven year old sister, since his mother spends her nights drinking and doing drugs. He can't help but like feeling needed. Like without him, things would fall apart.
So when Maggie, his girlfriend of two years, is found lifeless next to a bottle of pills and a handwritten note, Wes knows that he failed his only job as her boyfriend; to protect her.
One year later, Wes finds himself spending his senior year in another state, hoping for a fresh start. Escaping the pain of his past, however, is hard for him to do when he finds parts of Maggie in every girl he sees...until he sees Audrey. She eats alone in the cafeteria, sits in the back of the classroom, and doesn't speak unless she's spoken to. Wes can't help but notice all of the things in Audrey that should've raised warnings with Maggie. Maybe this is his chance to release his guilt and finally save someone who needs saving.
