This story is a tribute to my favourite Aussie-built passenger train, known as the NSW V-Set.
Newly retired from service on the 30th of January, 2026, the New South Wales V-Set is a fleet of double-deck, fully air-conditioned, interurban/intercity passenger trains & was built by Australian rail transit manufacturer, Commonwealth Engineering (otherwise known as Comeng) in the Sydney suburb of Granville, NSW in the 1970's.
This article will serve as both a memento & a complete guide to the V-Set & its history on Sydney's extensive interurban/intercity rail system & will also include photos & videos.

The Hunger Games had been a tradition for 100 years. And that year wasn't any different. Each district gave up two teenagers for the Games, one bender and one nonbender. They would fight to the death to see which district was the best that year. However, this year, something was different. The people in the Games were different this year. It gave her the drive to take care of the kid from District 10 who was also doubted. It gave her the drive to go along with the uprising, to storm the Capitol at nightfall.
