Unmaking Monsters is a dark fantasy about fear given form.

When nineteen-year-old Elara ignores village warnings and enters the whispering woods to save her sick mother, she is taken by a legend made real: the Ossuary Steed, a nightmare forged from bone and belief. Dragged into the forest's oldest heart, Elara learns a terrible truth-monsters are born from collective fear, and this one is still growing.

Escaping with the help of a sharp-tongued, magically savvy mouse and a disgraced tracker bound by old debts, Elara must race against dawn to reclaim what the monster intends to steal from her next. To survive, she will have to confront not just the creature hunting her, but the fear that created it-and decide whether monsters can truly be unmade, or only transformed.
