Dick never imagined a mission from the past would have altered the course of his life.

Yet here on the doorstep of his Blüdhaven apartment was a young boy the same age he was when Bruce took him in; the same blue eyes as him; the same hopeful look in said eyes. With him, a note.

'Hi, my name Altair, I am ten years old. If Richard Grayson is reading this: congratulations, you're now a father.'

Dick looked between the note and the boy smiling at him but remaining silent. Then he pointed to the back of the note.

'Oh, and he takes after his father - codename: Kestrel'
