Good Times: New Beginnings is a 30‑chapter, family‑centered drama‑comedy that picks up exactly where the final episode of Good Times ends. In the finale, Thelma announces she is pregnant, Keith learns his injured leg has completely healed, and the couple prepares to move into a beautiful new apartment in North Chicago. At the same time, Keith is offered a new pro‑football contract, J.J. gets a job with a comic company, Michael decides to live on campus for college, and Willona and Penny miraculously move into the exact same building as Thelma and Keith. Florida also agrees to move in with them to help raise the new baby.

While waiting for their series to begin filming and eventually be released, I wanted to imagine what their story might feel like - to give fans a small taste of the emotions, tension, and romance we might see on screen. The characters keep the names Lena and Miu instead of the original names from the novel.
