Melanie is 12 when she gets her letter. It's the letter that made her parents disown her. It's the letter she's been waiting for, for the past year. It's a Hogwarts acceptance letter. So immediately her parents start to train her, she has 1 summer to learn every thing she's missed over the two years she's been waiting. Then it gets to much her parents don't love her and are only causing her problems. She runs away with her letter to diagonal alley and after that Hogwarts were she might finally find love and family.
I'm really bad at descriptions but please give the book a chance. :)
