Selene has been on her own for most of her life. After losing her parents at a young age, she was taken in by the village healer and raised as her apprentice-eventually becoming the sole healer herself. Isolated and sheltered, Selene has known nothing beyond the small human village that raised her.

When her village is suddenly attacked, everything she understands about the world is torn apart. Forced to flee, Selene finds herself thrust into a realm of supernatural beings, ancient powers, and unfamiliar alliances. Struggling to survive and to redefine her identity, she must discover where she truly belongs in a world that was never meant to be hers.
