It's been five years since MC stepped foot in this town, yet nothing has changed. Every street is the same, every building is the same...and, more than likely, every person is the same, too.

You know how it starts. MC walks to school, Sayori convinces him to join a club, and he writes poems, hoping to impress one of the girls.

But the thing is, he's been gone at boarding school for five years. Sayori's not really changed, save for wearing the purple choker she got for her birthday. He doesn't know Yuri or Natsuki that well, so trying to make a fair assessment isn't wise.

But Monika's acting rather strange.
