Good Girls Don't Cry over Bad Boys

For so long Jemika had guarded her heart. She'd overcome a childhood of violence and sexual abuse. And although she'd become a single mother her senior year of high school, she'd still managed to go off to college and earn a degree, hoping one day to help other little girls that had grown up just like herself. Things were finally moving in the right direction. She had fully committed her life to Christ, holding to a vow of celibacy for 5 years now. She'd found a good job right out of college, was living on her own without public assistance and was going to church regularly. But all that is threatened when Kurt enters her life. She'd always been quick to see thru the lies and false promises of a better life from men that meant her no good. But Kurt was different and of all things, he'd just had to move in next door to her with his sister, making it that much harder to avoid him. After all these years, was he someone she could finally trust enough to love and let into her heart? Would he even want the same things as her? I mean after all, the only thing missing from her life was Prince Charming; a good man to love, a provider, a protector and most of all a good father to her child. Or was he just another wolf in sheep's clothing looking for a good time. Would she be risking everything now just in order to be with a sinner? and oh lord what would the Saints think of her if they knew she was a good girl crying over a bad boy.
