Cassandra Raynsford. daughter of the late Arthur and Phoebe Raynsford. Arthur was a Yeoman, owning a sizable farm with cattle and horses, once in the past promised a great fortune but he married down in society, Phoebe the daughter of a merchant, and surrendered much of his wealth to instead live out his life on a farm in peace.

Phoebe died tragically during the birth of the last Raynsford child, Lucille, and Arthur died soon later of unknown conditions after a particularly harsh winter on the farm. The death of their parents left Cassandra and her older brother Augustin to take care of their siblings as they prepared their journey to Mayfair, London to live with their father's brother, Earl Callum Raynsford, and his wife Countess Grace Raynsford.
